I see teaching as a means for coaching, I see coaching as the best technique, and I see this best method to create a mutual and healthy environment.
I believe that it is my responsibility as a lecturer to provide students with the following:
an environment helpful for learning, through students’ center approach
competencies that will help them be successful in achieving their lives' goals, through national and international case studies, hosting experts and scientific excursions
up to date materials, opportunities, and feedback that will help them learn, through self and formative assessment.
And helping in becoming and remaining motivated to be successful both in their studies and in applying their knowledge to solve problems in their lives.
I also believe that my students have duties to me, to their classmates, family, and society. Thus, I believe that it is the students' responsibility to be supportive to me and fellow students by being:
being punctual
tolerant of different points of view,
prepared for class,
willing to work hard to complete course activities,
willing to bring their life experiences into the class to enrich discussions,
willing to try to apply what they learn in class to solve the problems they face on their jobs and in their lives.
Lastly, I don’t want my students to forget and remember, but to learn for life.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn” (Benjamin Franklin)
