During my bachelor’s degree study, I started to realize that teaching is more than transforming knowledge into students’ minds as I used to believe. I started to see successful teachers who were more well-rounded in all aspects of life. This led me to think about what I chose as a career. Moreover, I began to consider setting proper goals that can promote me to act as an effective teacher in the future. Since, I play a big part of students’ lives as a teacher, my ultimate goal is to help them to be self-directed, creative and confident in terms of learning and education in general. Nowadays, learning languages has distended to become one the most essential skills that can open many gates for a better living. Moreover, having the ability to teach would give the chance to acquire networking skills through meeting new people. The more people you know, the better individual you become. My teaching style is mainly based on structural approach that lets students to use their prior knowledge to climb the ladder of knowledge and skill acquiring in order to reach the goals that have been set to achieve. Scaffolding is my common technique to apply because when students are given hints and clues, they start to be more engaged in the the content being discussed and delivered. Another experience that I want my students to encounter is immersion program where students are exposed to the target language as much as possible. This is derived in sociocultural theory which students are put in situational contexts. Through this, students would have sufficient required input, which makes them to be better learners. In my class, students feel free and confident to speak up and share their ideas. Once this is done the flow goes more smoothly, then the learning environment becomes as expected. Another technique is project-based learning that takes students to the level of independency that is one the core goals to make students to be self-directed students. When it comes to

assessment, I desire to give a menu of assessment tasks including many ways to assess students. In the menu students have the opportunity to choose the one they like to be assessed with.
