One Of The Primary Roles Of The Teachers Is Still To Guide Students While Allowing Them To Discover Facts Themselves. I Further Believe That Effective Learning Comes From Interactive Education That Needs To Be Of Interest To Students, And The Best Educational Encounters Are Questions From Everyone Rather Than Answering Everything. Lecturers Should Guide The Students To Make A Good Link Between Theoretical And Practical Parts In The Engineering College.
Helped Environment For Learning Students Created By The Lecturer Where They Can Concentrate On A Subject Or Field When They Adapted A Collection Of Required Knowledge, Ideas, And/Or Skills. I Have A Good Collaboration With My Students Inside And Outside Of The University To Message The Lectures' Goals And Know The Potential Talents. Philosophy Of Teaching Will Be Different From College To Other And From Module To Another.
I Teach At The College Of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department.
My Teaching Way Inside The Class:
My Module’s Criteria Consist Of More Than Seven Parts And Students Should Contribute In All Parts Such As (Presentation, Classwork, Project, Participation, …Etc)
My Philosophy For Starting A Lecture Depends On The Lecture’s Time. At Noon Will Be Different That Early Morning Because Students Need A Unique, Inspiring Educational Environment In Which They Can Grow Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, And Socially. I Want To Create An Atmosphere In Which Students Can Maximize Their Potential. It Provides A Secure Environment In Which Students Are Invited To Share Their Ideas And Take Risks. When The Students Feeling Tired Need To Make A Proper Environment To Understanding Your Lecture Like Starting With An Interesting Short Video And Asking Them About Some Topics Which They Love It.
Then Begin Each Class With A Summary Of The Previous Class Session And A Presentation Of The Purpose Of The Lesson. Focus On Classroom Interactions Because Students Will Learn Better When They Are Involved And Excited About What They Do. This Process Also Gives The Student The Freedom To Ask Questions From Me. As Students Become Accustomed To This Process, The Classes Will Be Much More Interesting For Us.
In My Classes I Encourage The Students In Small Groups, To Teach A Lecture On A Topic Of Their Choice Related To The Class Material And During My Explanation Suddenly I Ask A Question For Each Group To Make A Discussion About It And By This Way Students Make A Good Collaboration Between Themself And The Balance Created Between Intelligent Students And The Others. After Explaining The Aim Of The Lecture And Solving Some Problems I Will Let Group Students To Solving Some Classwork Together To Better Understanding The Lecture.
Finally, Teaching Is A Process Of Learning From Your Students, Colleagues, Parents, And The Community. This Is A Lifelong Process Where You Learn New Strategies, New Ideas, And New Philosophies And Will Not Be Stope And Always Flexible For Different Situations.
